The public reported hail 1.5 inches in diameter at a truckstop at exit 2 on Interstate 65.

A spotter reported that hail up to 2 inches in diameter covered the ground just to the east of Franklin. This hail came from a supercell that earlier had produced an EF-2 tornado well west of Franklin.
