Hail estimated to quarter size was reported in Clifty.

July 2, 2002 · 2.75″ (baseball)

Baseball size hail was reported along Highway 181 about 4 miles northwest of Guthrie. Vehicles were dented. In Guthrie, quarter size hail was reported. The large hail was caused by a severe thunderstorm that drifted slowly north across the Guthrie area from Tennessee.

Softball-size hail fell in the vicinity of Clifty and Kirkmansville. Several roofs and automobiles were damaged.
