Hail ranging from nickel to golfball size was reported from the Garyville, Reserve, and Laplace communities as a severe thunderstorm moved across the parish.

Several reports of hail were received ranging from penny and nickel size to golf ball size was reported from about 3 miles west of Laplace to the west and north portion of Laplace near the Interstate 10-Interstate 55 interchange.
