A trained spotter measured 1 inch hailstones at Midland Ave at I-170.

May 25, 2011 · 4.5″ (grapefruit)

Softball size hail was reported at the intersection of Gravois Road and Heidelberg Avenue.

April 26, 1994 · 3.0″ (tea cup)

Numerous reports were received of 0.75 to 1-inch-diameter hail from the public and weather spotters. Hail up to three inches in diameter fell over other sections of western St. Louis County damaging hundreds of cars and windows. The worst damage was near Chesterfield Mall where parked cars were dented severely or had broken windows.
