One 60 year old female was injured by hail while outside. She heard the severe thunderstorm warning and went outside to secure property in anticipation of the storm. Golf ball size hail fell from a mostly sunny sky, hitting her in the head. She required 8 stiches to her forehead. The large hail was falling miles away from the storm core.
