Dime to nickel sized hail was reported, with very little wind.

Golfball hail broke some windows on several homes and on the church in Herried.

Golfball size hail combined with strong winds of over 50 miles an hour lasted for nearly one half hour. One hundred percent of the crops in the area were destroyed. Some paint was stripped off a farmhouse along with a lot of structural damage to outbuildings. According to the reporter, it seemed like a blizzard.
