Hail as large as 1 inch fell across the area.
· 2.5″ (tennis ball)
Large hail of golf ball size and larger fell in a swath from the Calhoun community southeast across parts of Laurel, Glade, and Tuckers Crossing. Several car rear windows were busted out at a gas station on the southwest side of Laurel.
· 2.75″ (baseball)
This large supercell thunderstorm moved out of Southeast Smith county and tracked east-southeast through the Soso Community and then through the city of Laurel before dissipating. This storm produced a swath of golf ball to baseball sized hail. Many homes and vehicles were damaged from the large hail.
