Hail up to the size of golf balls fell near Causeyville.

April 8, 2020 · 2.75″ (baseball)

A severe thunderstorm moved across southern Lauderdale County and brought a swath of hail. The largest hailstone was baseball sized which was observed at Meridian Key Field by control tower observers. This hail lasted five minutes and dented a few cars. Hail up to tennis ball size occurred along Valley Road south of I-20/59.

A long lived supercell thunderstorm produced a swath of golf ball to baseball sized hail across central Lauderdale County.
